Job Title: Marketing and Sales Officer

Reports directly to (Line Manager): Director of Strategy
Job Summary/Purpose:
Responsible for managing all marketing activities of the company, including digital marketing strategies, external branding, internal collaterals to support student recruitment and ensure return on investment;
Execute short- and long-term strategic marketing plans that maximize the return on key program objectives. In addition, this role works across the University to develop strategies that broaden awareness/interest, increase applications, and drive matriculation/yield for programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop sales and marketing techniques to drive student recruitment, undertake research, operationalize and implement annual Marketing strategies and plans that align with the marketing objectives and strategies of the Institution.
- Work closely with the Recruitment & Admissions Department to achieve growth and hit enrolment target; Identify emerging markets and market shifts. Analyze marketing and sales metrics (conversion rates, web analytics, etc.);
- Assist with promotional events to attract leads and improve the unique brand positioning of the institution across all end-to-end communications. Maintain and enhance the institution’s reputation in the eyes of the higher education audience;
- Development and execution of the annual marketing/communication calendar; manage the advertising budget; secure budget approval and manage effectively in line with objectives;
- Evolve and implement branded messaging through all content to ensure the consumer voice and relevant brand components are accurately and consistently represented across our channels of communication;
- Partner with internal stakeholders to increase engagement with key audience segments, develop and lead initiatives to support new and ongoing strategies and tactics;
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, top competitor brand positioning, key messages, and closely monitor competitive presence and industry trends across various message boards, business newsletters and social media;
- Works through the Social Media Officer and the Graphic Designer to facilitate the continuous update of BCC’s website and other social media machinery with current happenings;
- Submit weekly, monthly and quarterly marketing updates and reports with Line Manager; Communicate upcoming campaigns to all key stakeholders
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Significant knowledge of Marketing/ Sales, emerging market trends and Brand Management
- Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills;
- Excellent influencing skills and the ability to communicate with credibility, tact and diplomacy internally and externally;
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills skills;
- Attentive to details and dedicated to quality;
- Critical thinker, results-driven and self-motivated
- Ability to work well with team members at all levels
Qualification Required & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, MBA or a related discipline
- Professional certification in marketing i.e. CIM, CIMA etc.
- Good Knowledge of digital marketing;
- At least 3 years of post-qualification work experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite;
